For Edinburgh’s Murray Cockburn it’s been a dream start to his new career down in the southern state of Louisiana.

Since his summer move from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut he literally can’t stop scoring important goals for his new side – Louisiana State University Shreveport.

This past weekend Murray came up trumps for the LSUS Pilot’s again, with a 68th minute winner against former NAIA National Champion’s Belhaven University.

The LSUS Pilot’s are a brand new program and their success so far has been incredible, with four straight win’s to begin the campaign under the guidance of Head Coach Phillip Bohn.

The win over such illustrious opponents as Belhaven will give the players huge confidence in each other as they continue to bond and grow together as a team.

The challenges are going to be coming thick and fast for the team and they are about to face another powerhouse NAIA program this week when they travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to play William Carey College.
